Across the Middle East, conflict and crisis have generated large refugee populations living both in host communities and camps - some of which are small cities in their own right. Where refugees lack work opportunities and access to basic services like electricity and water, they risk feeling marginalised and becoming vulnerable to extremism and conflict.
TAG is improving refugee resilience and creating more purposeful youth communities with stronger coping mechanisms. Working alongside civil society and government partners, we aim to provide vulnerable young people with the life-skills they need to be part of, and serve, proactive communities more able to address their own challenges.
