In recent years, Georgia has become the target of massive and sustained cyber attack aiming to derail the trajectory of a key NATO partner towards long-term western alliance. TAG supports legislative and policy reform to increase intelligence sharing between cyber security agencies and private operators of Critical National Infrastructure including water, power, telecommunications and health services. The project is also empowering greater numbers of women to take up professional positions in cyber security.

TAG’s work has facilitated the roll-out of a bespoke information sharing framework, supported by two amendments to national law, that allows sharing of threat intelligence and incident response coordination through secure instant messaging between three Computer Emergency Response Teams (CERTs) and their key private sector stakeholders, under a newly established Department for National Cyber Security Strategy. The Women in Cyber programme has engaged over 1,000 students in Georgian schools and universities in cyber-awareness sessions.
