About the National Security & Resilience Practice

The National Security & Resilience (NS&R) Practice focuses on supporting beneficiary states in strengthening their military, law enforcement, intelligence, and government agencies against threats to their national security. These threats are diverse and rapidly evolving and include regional instability, hostile state activity and terrorism. This involves a wide range of programming activity, from very strategic policy and governance issues, to ‘boots on the ground’ delivery of tactical training. The practice is a market leader in developing systems and processes and promoting inter-agency cooperation to protect critical national infrastructure and wider commercial interests and the general public against the threat from cyber-attack.

About the Role

As the Project Support Officer for Project MESILLA, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of a 16-week basic training course for 500 recruits. This position requires immediate commencement in July, extending through to the end of January, with potential opportunities for continued project support later in the year. Initially based in our London office for the preparation phase, the role will subsequently involve deployment to a secure location in the Middle East for the delivery phase. Your responsibilities will encompass all aspects of recruitment and in-country support, ensuring the successful execution of the project.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Support the Central Recruitment Team with all aspects of recruitment - this includes aspects of vacancy management and providing the administration of information related to advertising.
  • Support trainer recruitment, onboarding and deployment under direction of training management team.
  • Process all Pre-Employment documents. This includes collecting supporting documentation/qualifications, DBS check, references and various other documentation/forms.
  • Liaise and communicate with candidates to update them on the progress of the recruitment process.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records on the recruitment pipeline(Excel)/CRM (SharePoint).
  • Send and process contracts and project schedules for the training team.
  • Lead and manage the completion of all visa applications.
  • General support to the training management team on deployment logistics and welfare.
  • Ad-hoc department admin where required.

About the role

TAG International is currently recruiting to fill an international Digital Forensics Trainer position to join a well-established international programme in Iraq.

  • The purpose of the role is to plan and deliver appropriate, impactful and sustainable training and activities to Digital Exploitation units. Activities range from delivering technical training, peer mentoring and forensic equipment support and installation. The Digital Forensics trainer will be supported by the programme’s Technical Director and Project Manager.
  • We are looking for a highly organised and motivated individual with substantial experience professional experience in Digital Forensics and delivering capacity building training in fragile states on behalf of international donors. Furthermore, we are looking for an individual with a strong understanding of the security sector in the Iraqi context.
  • The individual must have a professional, relevant, and appropriate Digital Forensics background.
  • The Digital Forensics Trainer will be required to travel to Iraq (Baghdad) at least for 2 weeks per quarter. This is not a full-time role; the individual will be expected to manage their day allocation to perform the necessary duties and responsibilities.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
  • Training and Mentoring: The programme supports a cadre of local Digital Forensics operators. Our intention is to build their technical capabilities as well as improve the submission and use of digital evidence during the judicial process. The Trainer will be required to design and deliver training and mentoring to achieve the following outcomes:
    • Retrain on fundamentals and existing capabilities.
    • Train on open-source capabilities and data analysis.
    • Train evidence acquisition to field units (Train the Trainer).
  • Equipment installation: Although the project does not directly procure digital forensic equipment, the trainer will be expected to advise the client on suitable hard / software. They may also be required to support the installation and embedding of existing procured equipment. Practical experience in hard / software such as Spektor, Mobile Edit and Chip Off is desirable.
  • Reporting: The Trainer will be required to draft reports and maintain information management processes. Specifically, the Trainer will be required to produce a Course Guide prior to each deployment and a Post-Activity Report after delivery, as well as input into monthly, quarterly and annual reporting. They will also be required to draw on experience to provide guidance to the client on digital forensic trends and developments.
  • Quality Assurance: It is vitally important that the quality of all work is appropriate and meets the expectations defined by the client. The Trainer will be expected to support the Technical Director in ensuring quality of work delivered within the digital forensics component.
Professional Qualities

Initiative, effective communication, and the ability to work independently are central to the requirements of this role. Competency and currency on Digital Forensic equipment is essential. Experience working with international stakeholders is highly desirable.

About the Role

As Project Manager at TAG International, you will steer the implementation of nationally important cyber capacity development projects. Your work will impact third-party countries, shaping their cyber resilience and national security infrastructure. Your role will focus on delivering results that are timely, cost-effective, and of superior quality for our Government clients. You will:

  • Lead Multi-disciplinary Teams: Run project teams composed of TAG's internal experts, as well as external consultants and supply chain partners, focusing on national risk and capacity assessment.
  • Complex Stakeholder Management: Cultivate relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders, ranging from government clients to project beneficiaries, all while navigating the complexities of international aid and cyber capacity development.
  • Project Oversight: Direct projects of varying complexity and financial scale—from shorter, single-year projects to ambitious, multi-year, multi-country, and multi-million-pound undertakings, with particular emphasis on critical national infrastructure resilience and cyber hygiene campaigns.
Location & Travel

These roles are UK-based, with hybrid working arrangements available. Short-duration international travel may be required.

Location: Bedfordshire

We are looking for an energetic and experienced security risk instructor to join our team. You will have relevant military experience to relate the training requirement to real-life scenarios, or an understanding of MoD Security Policy and its applicability.

You will be joining a 3-person team of experienced security and intelligence professionals responsible for delivering a range of courses. The training we provide will enable various security officer roles within the MoD to conduct the Security Risk Management process for the protection of information, personnel, and equipment assets.

This role would be ideal for former Intelligence Corps, RAF Police, RN Regulators or other former military/civilian personnel with detailed knowledge and experience of MoD Security Policies.

You will develop and deliver security training to a mixed military and civil service audience. You will also regularly review training material to ensure its currency in line with the Government Functional Standard (GovS-007 Security), formerly Security Policy Framework and various Training Requirements Authorities. In doing so your inputs will support the continual improvement of the security training output of the Defence community.

Deployment dates are currently planned for December 2022 / January 2023, following a short pre-deployment training package.
